Dr Anisoara Paraschiv-Ionescu

Anisoara Paraschiv-Ionescu received her B.Sc. and M.Sc. degrees in electrical engineering from the University “Politehnica” Bucharest, Romania, in 1989 and the Ph.D. degree in microelectronics from University Joseph Fourier, Grenoble, France, in 2000.

Dr. Paraschiv-Ionescu is a Scientist with the Ecole Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland. Her main research focuses on biomedical signal processing with emphasis on nonlinear analysis and statistical modeling of human physical activity patterns in health and disease. The final goal of research activities is to provide clinical outcomes allowing objective assessment of medical interventions in chronic illness such as chronic pain.

Dr. Paraschiv-Ionescu is author/coauthor of more than 70 scientific papers published in peer-reviewed journals/conference proceedings and she is currently involved in EU project “REWIRE—Rehabilitative Wayout In Responsive home Environments” FP7-ICT-2011-7, grant 287713.
